IntroductionCOMPSPEC was formed in 1989 to assist healthcare providers in
reducing their
bad debt write

offs
by
qualifying patients for third party
coverage through
a
series
of
specific programs
designed to
obtain
appropriate eligibility and
reimbursement from
Medi-Cal, Medicare, Victims of
Violent Crime, Workers’ Compensation, Indemnity Insurance, HMO’s/
PPO’s and other
contracted
payers,
and
other
liable
third
parties.
Our services extend from assisting patients in completing appropriate
applications and securing required attachments, through to final
disposition
including representing
the
patients
and
our
clients
interests
in
fair
hearing processes, appeals, and the
filing and tracking of liens. These services and others
have
been
organized into
COMPSPEC’s Comprehensive Revenue Recovery
Services
(
CRRS
)
program,
an
integrated
and
coordinated approach
to
maximizing
revenue
production
on behalf
of all our clients. Each
of
these
services
comprising
the
CRRS
program are briefly described
